When Dominga, a lonely retired vaquera, leans of her daughter's pregnancy, she leaves everything behind and starts a journey out west to see her.

She finds herself in need of work along the way at a small farm where she meets Jasper.

The two bond over their estrangements with their faimlies and decide the journey is better together than alone.
